APT’s INAUGURAL SUMMIT SETS COURSE TO INNOVATE AND UNIFY THE HAIR LOSS INDUSTRY

CHICAGO/LOMBARD/OAKBROOK — The Association of Professional Trichologists (APT) launches its non-profit organization with an Inaugural Unity Summit. This new organization brings together professionals in the trichology, dermatology, cosmetology, nutrition, and hair science fields with a singular focus on establishing a set of resources, standards, and credentialing to elevate the study of ailments with hair and scalp, including hair loss. This Summit sets the foundation for a continued practice of research, education, and cooperation between industry professionals.

With an eye toward expanding understanding of hair and scalp maladies and the importance of trichologists as partners in health, APT offers trusted information based on extensive scientific research, cross-industry collaborations, and credentialing and professional growth opportunities.

“So many people struggle in silence with hair loss or scalp issues,” says APT Board President and Trichologist, Demetria Hayden, “and that is a something we aim to change. As we build our professional organization, with a community of trichologists providing tailored, holistic, and scientifically research-based solutions, we amplify the importance of healthy hair care while giving the public the qualified professionals they need.”

THE APT INAUGURAL SUMMIT TAKES PLACE AT THE EMBASSY SUITES CHICAGO/LOMBARD FROM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21ST THROUGH MONDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

Registration is currently open to all those stakeholders interested in training, networking, and understanding their role in shaping the future of the hair and scalp care industry.

There are limited opportunities to become a founding member of the organization. “This is the organization I’ve been seeking,” says Samaria Grandberry, APT Board Member and owner of Feeding the Root, “as a practicing trichologist and nutritionist, I am excited to collaborate with others in the industry who want to revolutionize the trichology landscape through integrative care and research.”

The APT Inaugural Unity Summit is honored to be sponsored by L’Oréal USA Research & Innovation, Bauman Medical, Trichologists on a Mission, United States Trichology Institute, and the Lotus Concept.
