What is the Association of Professional Trichologists?

The Association of Professional Trichologists is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the trichology industry to new heights. Our journey began in 2023 with a simple yet powerful idea: to meet the needs of trichologists by fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

Why do you charge for the event if you're a non-profit organization?

The APT relies on fundraising & donations to fund the efforts it has set out to accomplish like the establishment of the first credentialing program in the US for Trichologists and our annual Summit in Chicago. 

Do you offer memberships?

Yes, we have annual memberships available.  APT Members have access to discounted events, monthly online educational webinars, networking opportunities and feature on our Professional Directory. Sign up at https://trichologyassociation.org/membership

Is the virtual access only available during the event?

No, both in-person and virtual attendees will have access to the entire summit recording for 3 months after the end of the event.

What is the deadline for the Hotel Early Bird price?

What happens if I book the hotel room in Embassy Suites Lombard through a third-party website?

 Please be aware that Parking is not included when booking a hotel room at the event location (Embassy Suites Lombard/Oakbrook Chicago) through a third-party website and not directly through the Embassy Suites Hilton website. Parking is $30/night.

I’d like to attend in person, what airport should I use?

Chicago has 2 airports, Midway (MDW) and O’Hare (ORD). Both are national/international hubs but not all airlines fly into Midway so depending on where you’re flying from, your only choice may be O’Hare. O'Hare is a very large airport so traffic, check-in time etc. is greater than at Midway. Both are about the same distance from the hotel (17 miles). Under normal traffic conditions, it will take you 20 minutes from either airport to the Embassy Suites Lombard Oakbrook hotel. During weekday rush hour traffic, it can take 30min to O'Hare and 45min to Midway. Plan accordingly as the last day of the conference is a non-holiday Monday.

What amenities are included for in-person attendees?

On Friday evening, there will be a networking mixer with snacks and drinks.  On Saturday and Sunday, snack/coffee breaks and lunch are included.
